HOPE Comfort Bag Distribution

Visit Charles County Health Department's HOPE Team staff in the library and pick up a "comfort bag" consisting of a waterproof blanket, toiletries (deodorant, shampoo, washcloth, body wipes, nail clippers, comb), documents holder, flashlight & socks.  Other items will be available as well. Visitors will be able to get information about free HIV testing. Everyone is welcome to stop by the table as there will be something for everyone. 

One of the Charles County Department of Health's responses to harm reduction for the unsheltered and unstably housed members of our community, the HOPE Team meets people in the community where they live, addressing their immediate needs while building trust and raising awareness of resources to address personal and community health issues such as substance use disorder, hepatitis C and HIV infection.  

The mission of the Charles County Department of Health is to protect, promote, and improve the health, safety, and environment of Charles County residents.
