In October we will discuss "No Sense in Wishing" by Lawrence Burney . Recommended for ages 18+. Social time is from 6:30 - 6:45; book discussion runs from 6:45 - 7:45.

The La Plata Book Discussion is for those who love reading books that cover a wide variety of genres and themes. Participants can suggest titles and vote on the books that will be read. Come join the fun on the second Thursday of the month! 

On October 8 we will discuss "No Sense in Wishing: Essays on Black Music, Belonging, and Baltimore" by Lawrence Burney.  This is the One Maryland One Book for 2026.  Copies can be picked up a month ahead at the front desk of the La Plata branch.  Recommended for ages 18+.  6:30 - 6:45 is social time; book discussion runs from 6:45 - 7:45

 

In November we will discuss "The Briar Club" by Kate Quinn.
