Have you ever wondered what to expect if you're called for jury duty?
Join H. James (Jay) West, County Administrative Judge of the Charles County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, for an informative and approachable introduction to the jury process.
Learn what happens from the time you receive a jury summons through the end of your service, including:
- Jury selection
- The role and responsibilities of jurors
- What to expect in the courtroom
- How jurors make decisions based on the evidence presented
This program is a great opportunity to ask questions, better understand the jury system, and feel more prepared if you are ever called to serve.
Whether you have served on a jury before or have never been called, you’ll come away with a better understanding of what jury duty involves and why it is an important part of our justice system.
