Learn how to communicate more effectively with AI tools by asking better questions, providing context, refining responses, and recognizing when results need more work.

Getting useful results from AI starts with knowing how to communicate with it. In this hands-on session, participants will practice using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot to accomplish practical tasks. You'll learn how to ask clearer questions, provide helpful context, refine AI-generated responses, and recognize when an answer needs additional work or verification. Whether you're brand new to AI or have experimented with it before, you'll leave with practical techniques you can use right away.

What is the AI Ready Adults program series?

Build confidence with AI through practical, hands-on sessions covering everyday uses, productivity, privacy, misinformation, career tools, and responsible AI habits. Artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday life—but knowing how to use it safely and effectively can feel overwhelming. This six-part series helps adults build practical AI literacy and confidence without requiring technical experience. Participants will learn what AI is and where they encounter it, practice getting useful results from AI tools, learn how to spot AI-generated misinformation and protect their privacy, explore everyday uses for AI, discover ways AI can support job searches and career growth, and develop personal guidelines for responsible AI use. Sessions are designed to stand alone, so participants can attend individual programs or take part in the full series. The series includes a mix of in-person and virtual sessions. There are also AI Ready program series for Kids & Families (6-11) and Teens (12-18).

Registration is required. If you have questions, please contact the La Plata Branch at 301-934-9001 or email laplataref@ccplonline.org.
