AI Ready Kids & Families
Where We Find AI in Everyday Life
Monday, October 19
6:00pm - 7:00pm
Discover how AI is already part of everyday life! Families will explore AI in apps, media, tools, and services they may already use.
AI isn't just something from the future—it may already be part of your everyday life! Families will explore the ways artificial intelligence appears in familiar apps, tools, media, and services. Children and caregivers will practice recognizing AI in everyday settings and discuss what they notice. The goal is to help young learners feel comfortable identifying and talking about AI in the world around them.
What is the AI Ready Kids & Families program series?
This five-part series helps children ages 6–11 and their parents or caregivers explore AI in fun, approachable, and age-appropriate ways. Families will learn how AI works at a basic level, recognize where it appears in everyday life, practice using AI safely, identify AI-generated content, and develop responsible AI habits for home. Each session includes interactive activities and opportunities for family discussion. Sessions are designed to stand alone, so families can attend individual programs or participate in the full series. There are also AI Ready program series for Teens (12-18) and Adults.
Registration is required. Families registering multiple children should register each participant separately.
