Join us for an exciting and educational event in partnership with the Charles County Humane Society, where we dive into the fascinating world of groundhogs! This program is perfect for animal enthusiasts of all ages and provides a fun way to learn about one of nature’s most curious creatures.

Program Highlights:

  • Discover Groundhog Facts: Explore the habits, habitats, and unique adaptations of groundhogs. Learn what makes these burrowing animals so special and their role in the ecosystem.
  • Myths vs. Facts: Uncover the truth behind the tradition of Groundhog Day and how groundhogs came to be celebrated in folklore.
  • Meet the Experts: Representatives from the Humane Society will share their expertise on groundhogs and other native wildlife, highlighting ways we can coexist peacefully with these animals.

This program is family-friendly and designed to spark curiosity and understanding about wildlife. Whether you’re a young learner or an animal lover, you’ll leave with new knowledge and a greater appreciation for groundhogs and the natural world.
