American Girl Garden Party

This fall marks the 40th anniversary of American Girl! Join us at the library as we celebrate four decades of American Girl stories, characters, and friendship with an afternoon of garden party fun.

Celebrate 40 years of American Girl with an afternoon inspired by the beloved characters and stories that have captured imaginations for generations! From Samantha’s elegant Edwardian-era world and Felicity’s colonial adventures to Addy’s courage and Josefina’s life in 1820s New Mexico, American Girl’s historical characters have introduced readers to different times, places, and experiences through the power of friendship and storytelling.

Join us for a special American Girl Garden Party featuring crafts, games inspired by historical pastimes, a delightful tea party, and a festive photo booth. Participants will receive an activity passport and can visit each station to collect stamps along the way. Complete your passport to receive a special prize!

This celebration comes just days before the October 13 release of Samantha: The Next Chapter, the first American Girl novel written specifically for adults, continuing Samantha’s story 40 years after American Girl first introduced her to readers.

Bring your favorite doll, dress up for a garden party, and join us for an afternoon of creativity, friendship, and a little American Girl nostalgia!
