Do you have what it takes to investigate the paranormal? Join us for an after-hours evening of spooky fun, featuring ghost hunting, horror trivia, Jackbox games, and classic scary movies!
When the library closes, the mystery begins! Spend the evening exploring the strange and unexplained during this after-hours event featuring paranormal investigation, horror-themed games, trivia, and classic scary movies. Whether you're eager to hunt for ghosts, challenge your friends in spooky competitions, or simply enjoy a night of fright with fellow horror fans, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
The evening begins with a brief introduction to paranormal investigation, where you'll learn about the tools and techniques used by ghost hunters and paranormal researchers before setting out to test your own investigative skills throughout the library. After the introduction, participants are free to explore a variety of themed activity stations at their own pace. Compete in recurring rounds of horror trivia for the chance to win prizes, gather your friends for hilarious Jackbox party games, practice using real paranormal investigation equipment, or take a break in our classic horror movie lounge. New trivia rounds and games will begin approximately every 15–20 minutes, so you can jump into the fun whenever you're ready.
Throughout the evening, activities will include:
- Paranormal Investigation Stations – Practice using ghost hunting equipment, including EMF detectors, audio and video recorders, dowsing rods, spirit boxes, and trigger objects as you investigate different areas of the library. Learn how paranormal investigators document evidence, evaluate findings, and distinguish between unexplained activity and natural explanations.
- Horror Trivia – Test your knowledge of horror books, movies, monsters, and folklore for a chance to win prizes.
- Jackbox Party Games – Challenge your friends with fun, spooky-themed party games.
- Classic Horror Movie Lounge – Relax and enjoy public domain horror films playing throughout the evening.
Whether you're a skeptic, a believer, or just looking for a unique after-hours experience, this program offers a fun blend of mystery, science, games, and classic horror entertainment.
Please note: This event takes place after the library has closed to the public. Doors will open for registered participants at 5:45 p.m. Participants who leave the building during the event will not be readmitted.
This program is for ages 13+ only.
