Looking for love? How about the love of a good romance book? Well look no further than Book Love!

Check out this incomplete analogy: CCPL is Tinder and with your help, we will be providing book suggestions that will make you swipe right again and again, all while snacking on a variety of sumptuous heart-shaped sundries. Plus there will be games!

How it works: Attendees will bring the title of their favorite romance novel and present it to the group in the form of a book talk. These book talks (as we librarians call them) will provide a quick summary of the book and discuss why others might (or simply just why you) like the book. Presenters will have at most 5 minutes each to discuss their selections. A prize will be awarded to the individual voted best talk.

Can’t pick just one book? Discuss your favorite Romance author or series! Don’t have anything to share? That’s okay, too. Come listen in and snack and maybe even take a title home with you.

This program is for adults.

Attendees beware as this program will likely include many of the following themes:

Broad chested men with perfect hair… some on horseback, some in uniform, or kilts
Buxom Ladies generally moonlit, generally scantily clad, generally mid-swoon
Weird animal/people hybrids Magic, and dragons, and supernatural stuff
Dukes, Rogues, Highlanders, Gangsters, Vampires, Princesses, Ladies, and the likes
And possibly even Amish folks attending church
