Discovery Session are one-on-one appointments with CCPL library staff that provide a more in depth session to explore resources and develop skills.

Could you benefit from one-on-one personal reference assistance? If so, schedule a Discovery Session for one-on-one CCPL library staff assistance at any of our branches (excluding the Mobile Library) for a more in depth session to explore resources and develop skills. Each session is tailored to meet your needs, so when signing up, include a brief description of what we can assist you with. 

Appointments can take place virtually or in-person.
When registering, select which option you would prefer for your appointment to take place.

  • Help to create an email 
  • Begin an online job search
  • Microsoft Suite Training/Assistance
  • Explore Databases in-depth 
  • Start your ancestry search 
  • Connect with local resources

  • Zoom/Skype Instruction & Practice

**Please note that CCPL staff can not write resumes, conduct genealogy research or apply to jobs on your behalf, they can simply share resources and provide guidance in utilizing tools to streamline this for you. **

Discovery Sessions can be scheduled to take place virtually or in person. Appointments can be made via online registration (located on the top left corner) or by calling or visiting the branch.

Potomac Library: 1st Saturday of the Month 9-11 AM & 3rd Tuesday of the month 5-7 PM.

La Plata Library: 4th Saturday of the month 2-4 PM &  4th Wednesday 1:30-3:30 PM

Waldorf West Library: 2nd Tuesday of the month 5-7 PM &  4th Monday 2-4 PM

P.D. Brown Library: 1st Wednesday of the month 9-11 AM & 3rd Friday of the month 2-4 PM.
