What Is AI and Where Is It Showing Up?
Tuesday, September 08
6:00pm - 7:00pm
What is AI, and how is it already part of your digital life? Explore AI in the apps, platforms, and tools you use while building a foundation for future sessions.
AI is already built into many of the apps, platforms, and digital tools teens use every day. In this introductory session, participants will explore where AI appears in their digital lives and learn basic AI concepts in a practical, accessible way. The session establishes a foundation for understanding AI and prepares participants for the hands-on topics explored throughout the series.
What is the AI Ready Teens program series?
Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the tools, platforms, and media teens encounter every day. This five-part series gives teens ages 12–18 practical AI literacy skills they can use in school, creative projects, online spaces, and everyday life. Participants will explore how AI works, learn how to get more useful results from AI tools, experiment with AI-assisted content creation, identify AI-generated media and misinformation, and explore AI for projects and entrepreneurship. Each session stands alone while building toward a broader understanding of responsible and effective AI use. There are also AI Ready program series for Kids & Families (6-11) and Adults.
Registration is required. Families registering multiple teens should register each participant separately.
