Teen Machine Sewing
Thursday, August 20
6:00pm - 7:00pm
Learn the basics of machine sewing and create your own custom bookmark this summer!
Interested in learning how to sew? Join us for a beginner-friendly introduction to machine sewing and explore the sewing machines available at the library! Teens will learn basic sewing skills, including how to safely operate a sewing machine, thread the machine, sew straight stitches, and work with fabric.
After practicing the fundamentals, participants will put their new skills to use by creating their own personalized fabric bookmarks to take home. No prior sewing experience is needed, and all supplies will be provided. This hands-on program is a great way to build creative skills, try something new, and discover the library's maker resources.
This program is for teens ages 12-18. Registration is required. Families registering multiple teens should register each participant separately.
