About the Presenters:
Robert M. Burke was born in Waldorf, MD and grew up in La Plata, MD. He currently resides in Chaptico, MD with his wife, Kristen, and their sons, Casey and Tyler. He has been a licensed Maryland attorney since 1992. He created the Robert Burke Law Firm in 1997. After 27 years of experience, he chose to concentrate on estate planning and administration as well as Medicaid and asset protection. Robert received his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from Mount St. Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, MD. He then earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC.
Nasheia Smith is a partner at Andrews, Bongar, and Gormley & Clagett. She focuses her practice on Estate Planning, Probate, and Family Law. Nasheia attended Bowie State University for undergraduate school and University of Baltimore School of Law. After law school, she served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Baltimore. She also served as a family law attorney at a non-profit organization. She assisted over 5,000 clients with their family law legal needs. During her time there, she developed the skills necessary to establish positive and trusting relationships with clients in order to assist them through their difficult emotional legal issues. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association where she served on the Public Awareness committee. Nasheia is also a member of the J Franklyn Bourne Bar Association and vice president of the Charles County Bar Association.
