April is National Garden Month...learn about the science of gardening and make a beautiful craft.
Spring is in the air...the days are longer, the weather is warmer, flowers are beginning to bloom and that means it is gardening season. Have you ever wondered why bees love to buzz around from flower to flower? Stop by the P.D. Brown branch and pick up an educational take & make kit that will explain the science of photosynthesis, the life cycle of a plant, the history of gardening, the essential relationship between bees and flowers and interesting facts about bees and plants. And, each kit will include instructions and supplies to make a beautiful craft masterpiece.
Kits can be picked up during regular business hours at the P. D. Brown branch. Curbside pickup is available upon request. To make a curbside request, please call the P. D. Brown branch at: 301-645-2864. One hour advance notice is needed for curbside kit requests. We encourage participants to share their finished artwork by sending a photo to: pdbrownref@ccplonline.org.
Kits are available April 1st - April 15th, while supplies last. Limit five kits per household.
Charles County Public Library events are accessible for all. If you have an accessibility request, please contact programs@ccplonline.org three business days prior to the event.
