Join us online to hear two internationally known experts address how trauma impacts all of our lives and how racial trauma is often an unseen force.

Racial Trauma, where does it come from: symptoms, the stressors, impact, and resources to addressing trauma? How does racial trauma affect the individual and communities? What can we do to end racial trauma?

Following the presentations from noted experts Dr. Jules Harrell and Dr. Kevin Washington, participants will break into small facilitated groups to share what they learned, discuss the impact of trauma and discover solutions for how our community can better address trauma.

“Living and Coping with Trauma: The Unseen Force” is in response to participants’ requests from the Big Conversation forum, “Many Wounds to Heal” and the events and revelations of dealing with COVID.

The forum is brought to you by The Big Conversation Partners in Dismantling Racism and Privilege in Southern Maryland.
