Join us and Maryland poet Adam Tavel for a virtual reading of his poetry, exploring themes of mental health, resilience, the digital age, and more!
Join us for a reading and Q&A with Maryland poet Adam Tavel! Adam's work-- which has been featured in publications such as The North American Review, The Hopkins Review, and AGNI, among others-- explores themes of mental health, neurodivergence, political polarization, and more! You won't want to miss this opportunity to get to know and ask questions of an exciting local voice in the poetry world.
About the Presenter: Adam Tavel is a proud resident of and teacher on Maryland's Eastern Shore who is eager to share his work beyond his local library system He is the author of seven poetry collections, the most recent of which, The Ghost-Star King (2026), explores pop culture, neurodivergence, and the American Dream though the lens of the ancient Greek figure Oedipus. He is the recipient of the Richard Wilbur Book Award, Permafrost Book Prize, and the Robert Frost Award, among other honors. His work can be found in more than 1,500 public libraries nationwide. This program will take place over Zoom. Registration is Required.
