Sistah Joy – Event Producer, Moderator, and Featured Poet
J. Joy “Sistah Joy” Matthews Alford is the Inaugural Poet Laureate of Prince George’s County, who served from 2018 to 2023. Currently revising her fourth book, Ordained Work, Sistah Joy is an arts advocate, public speaker, workshop facilitator, and literary activist. She is also the Poet Laureate of Ebenezer A.M.E.
