Join us at the College of Southern Maryland for this month's Writer's Process!
This is a monthly series for students, staff, faculty, and community members where we bring in local writers into the writing center to discuss writing processes.
About the Author: Jim McDonald is “The Houseboat Poet” and has been a Southern Maryland resident since 1965. In 2014, he returned to the College of Southern Maryland to earn an English degree. He lives in La Plata and is finally fulfilling a long-standing dream of becoming a poet and writer.
McDonald has earned two AA degrees from CSM, one in general studies and a second in English, and a bachelor's in English from UMGC. These accomplishments have been three decades in the making for the La Plata resident whose career has taken him from a carpenter to a storyteller, published poet, and author of five books with more to come.
This event will take place at the College of Southern Maryland La Plata Branch (8730 Mitchell Rd, La Plata, MD 20646) in the Learning Resource Center Room 211.
This event is sponsored by the Emily Creswick Fund and the CSM Foundation.
