Celebrate Juneteenth with poet Alyshia "Mocha Goddess" Bradley as she reads from her collections and shares works by influential Black authors in an evening of powerful storytelling and reflection.
Join us for an inspiring and powerful Juneteenth celebration featuring local author and poet Alyshia "Mocha Goddess" Bradley as she shares excerpts from her deeply moving poetry collections, Thank You Resiliency But I Am Tired and I See You Mocha Mocha.
This intimate and thought-provoking evening will highlight themes of resilience, identity, freedom, and the Black experience, as Bradley brings her words to life through passionate readings. In addition to her own poetry, she will share selections from other prominent Black authors and poets, celebrating the power of Black voices in literature.

Author Bio: Alyshia Bradley is a 34 year old actress, author, and singer from Lusby, Maryland. She graduated from Coppin State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Urban Arts. "I believe art, and healing go hand in hand, it has looked that way for me my entire life. I've used art and psychology to make sense of my world, and my place in it as a black woman. I'll always be a living advocate for art, and healthy mental health practices." She has 2 books published so far, Thank You Resiliency, But I Am Tired, and I See You Mocha Mocha both detailing her healing journey through poetry and short stories.
