Make like a leaf and fall in love with houseplants at the La Plant Swap held at the La Plata library.

A plant swap is a program where plant parents and green(thumb)horns can come together as they learn how to take care of new additions to their collections or begin a collection by swapping plant cuttings with others. We will have assorted donations to start the swap and get the roots rolling as you could say. Houseplants make our homes happier and healthier places so let's get swapping!

Please Note: Participants must bring at least one plant or cutting (non vegetable), all items must be labeled with care tips (labels will be provided by staff), and plants must be healthy and pest-free.

Need examples of what types of plants to swap with? No problem! Just a few examples for swappable photosynthesising friends include: philodendrons, succulents, snake plants, cacti, and spider plants.

Registration is not required.

If you have questions, please contact the La Plata Branch at 301-934-9001 or email laplataref@ccplonline.org
