Take your art knowledge to the next level!
Join us for an afternoon of art history and learning advanced techniques. We are now offering two sessions of Art Exploration Teen Edition on the fourth Wednesday and fourth Thursday of each month so that even more artists can join in the fun.
In December, we will learn about Wycinanki art, a traditional Polish paper-cutting and layering technique. Wycinanki comes from the Polish word meaning cut-paper-design, traditionally used by peasants to decorate their cottages. Designs ranged from wedding celebrations to nature and everyday events. Participants will use Polish folk art motifs and bright-colored paper to create a masterpiece.
PLEASE NOTE: This program is designed for ages 9 to 18. Younger participants may have difficulty with the projects and/or concepts.
Please register each child who will be attending separately and only register for one session each month, as both Wednesday and Thursday will be the same sessions. Please email Laura Johnson at ljohnson@ccplonline.org with any questions.
Charles County Public Library events are accessible for all. If you have an accessibility request, please contact programs@ccplonline.org three business days prior to the event.
