Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide and how to keep themselves and others safe.
"Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention" is a community-based program that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide. Join us at P.D. Brown Library on Wednesday, February 22 as we present this very important educational program.
A representative from AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) will be here to host - topics covered include the scope of the problem, research, prevention and what YOU can do. The program also includes a 20 minute presentation on mental health issues and struggles commonly experienced by college students, featuring real stories and experiences.
For questions, please call the P.D. Brown branch at: 301-645-2864.
Registration is required for this program.
Charles County Public Library events are accessible for all. If you have an accessibility request, please contact programs@ccplonline.org three business days prior to the event.
