Join us for an afternoon of live music with singer/songwriter, Orion Faruque.
Singer, songwriter and producer, Orion Faruque is a Charlottesville VA native who returned to Virginia after years spent traveling the continental US studying music and songwriting. Orion leads the band, Orion and the Melted Crayons, founded in 2018 to develop his musical visions with artists around the globe and to release 2021’s The Good Stuff album, 2018’s Breathe EP and 5 singles. Orion and the Melted Crayons songwriting is centered around hope being the lens in which we view the world, TMC blends folk authenticity with modern production and vibey aesthetics.
The debut album, "The Good Stuff", was produced in 2020 and contains a whole year of songwriting during the Covid-19 pandemic. "The Good Stuff", adds a neo-soul, rock and indie sound while still touching on the original Appalachian roots of the project. Live, the project ranges from tight arrangements to improvised jams with the material being brought to life by the dopest multi-instrumentalists plus special guests. The Good Stuff can be found here.
