Library After Hours returns! Join us for our first Library After Hours program! To kick off this new program series, we have special guest, Mikki Brock, associate professor of history at W&L University and scholar of demonology, witchcraft, and early modern Scotland. Mikki Brock is also the author of Satan and the Scots: The Devil in Post-Reformation Scotland, c.1560-1700 and co-editor of the forthcoming Routledge History of the Devil in the Western Tradition.
In this program, Professor Brock will present an informative and haunting historical account of the History of Witches and Witch Hunts. She will take you through one of the most fascinating and misunderstood episodes in European history as she describes the supernatural beliefs, anxieties, and tragedies of a period very different from, but also deeply relevant to, our own.
