Series Starters Book Preview

Need book suggestions or looking for your child's next favorite series?

Help your young reader discover exciting new adventures in this fun and interactive book talk program designed just for emerging readers! Each month, participants will be introduced to two engaging chapter book series through lively "teaser" book talks that offer a sneak peek into the characters, settings, and stories without giving away the ending.

After exploring the featured books, children will complete a themed hands-on craft or activity inspired by one of the series, making the stories come to life while encouraging creativity and a love of reading.

Along the way, readers will build confidence in choosing books independently, learn how to navigate the library to find new favorites, and leave with plenty of reading recommendations to continue their literary adventures at home.

This program is intended for children in first through third grade.

Registration is required. Families registering multiple children should register each participant separately.
