We're Trying Something New!
For this program, we're testing a new registration process for some of our most popular Summer Learning Challenge events.
In previous years, admission to these high-demand programs has been handled with free tickets distributed at the library one hour before the event. While this ensured that most seats were filled, it also meant that many families traveled to the library only to discover that all tickets had already been claimed. We know this has been frustrating, and we're looking for a better solution.
For Author Visit with christopher stewart, registration will open online at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the program and will close at 1:30 p.m. (or earlier if the program reaches capacity). This allows patrons to know whether they have a spot before making the trip to the library. Please only register one member of your group and when prompted to state if you are bringing guests please make sure to indicate the total number of additional people in your group.
A waitlist will be available. If registered attendees have not checked in by 2:10 p.m. (10 minutes after the program begins at 2:00 p.m.), their reserved spot may be offered to someone on the waitlist who is present at the library.
We're testing this registration model to see if it creates a better experience for everyone while still allowing us to fill as many seats as possible. Thank you for your patience and feedback as we explore new ways to make our most popular programs more accessible.
