Prepare for a low-stress winter by learning these relaxation techniques!
Whether you’re juggling a hectic finals week, balancing work and family commitments, or just feeling the pressures of daily life, taking time to care for your mental and physical well-being is essential. Join Wanda Mahoney from the Charles County Department of Health for a calming and practical workshop designed to help you find your center and maintain it.
In this session, you’ll learn a variety of techniques that can be used anytime, anywhere to reduce tension and promote relaxation. Wanda will guide you through body scans to help you notice and release areas of tightness, breathing exercises that signal your body to calm down, and strategies for recognizing the early signs and symptoms of stress before they escalate. You’ll leave with simple, effective tools you can use in moments of high pressure, or as part of a daily self-care routine, to help you feel more focused, grounded, and at ease.
