A "Spark! Places of Innovation" program. Watch Pathways to Invention and join us for fun games and creative activities that celebrate problem-solving, imagination, and innovation!
Join us for a fun and inspiring event all about creativity, problem-solving, and the spirit of invention! We'll kick things off with a silly and imaginative "Invention Story Mad Libs" activity to get our minds moving and our laughter going.
Then we'll settle in to watch Pathways to Invention, a fascinating documentary that explores how everyday people have changed the world through innovation.
After the film, we’ll put our inventing hats on for the "Inventor's Challenge," where you'll brainstorm and sketch out your own invention ideas to solve real-life problems.
Finally, we'll wrap up with a lively round of "Inventor Guess Who," a fun game that tests your knowledge of famous inventors (with a few surprise clues!).
Come be inspired, get creative, and have fun with fellow inventors!
Registration is not required.

Spark! Places of Innovation, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street (MoMS) program, dives into innovation and invention happening in rural America. In small towns across America, people are creating new products, taking risks, meeting challenges together, and seizing upon exciting opportunities that change local life and sometimes reach far beyond.
Spark! features stories from over 30 rural communities across the nation that reveal the dynamic relationship between place and creativity. Technical, social, cultural, artistic, or a combination of all of these—every innovation is as unique as each community.
Spark! Places of Innovation is part of MoMS, a unique collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, state humanities councils across the nation, and local host organizations. To learn more, visit www.museumonmainstreet.org.
