Learn about caring for loved ones in the early stages of Alzheimer's.

Are you caring for a loved one in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease? Navigating the challenges of caregiving during this time can be both overwhelming and emotionally taxing. This workshop is designed to provide you with essential knowledge and practical tools to support your loved one effectively while maintaining your own well-being.

In this session, we’ll explore research-based best practices for caregiving, focusing on:

  • Understanding the early stages of Alzheimer's and the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral changes that may occur
  • Effective strategies for communication, ensuring you can connect with your loved one and reduce frustration
  • Daily care techniques that promote comfort, dignity, and independence for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s
  • Caring for yourself as a caregiver, with tips on managing stress and avoiding burnout

This workshop offers expert insights to help you navigate this challenging journey with confidence, ensuring that you’re equipped to provide the best care while taking steps to protect your own mental and emotional health. Join us for a compassionate, informative session designed to empower you in your caregiving role and support your loved one with the respect and care they deserve.

Registration is required and will close one hour before the program. This program will take place on Zoom and the link to the program will be sent by CCPL staff one hour prior to the event.
