Game Options:
Olaf Hits the Dragon with His Sword
Genre: Fantasy, Tragedy
Description: This is a simple game built around a single question: what type of story can a single action tell? Only one thing happens during the game: Olaf hits the Dragon with his sword. The game is about figuring out why. Who is Olaf? What did the Dragon do? And perhaps most importantly, what comes after?
Post-Match Interview
Genre: Sports, Comedy
Description: In Post-Match Interview, one player takes on the role of a beleaguered athlete who’s just won (or lost) a major sports event. The game focuses on creating amusing and bizarre post-match interviews, where players must improvise their reactions and answer quirky questions from the press. For example: How did the opposing team’s lineup consisting exclusively of clones inform your strategy? Do you believe that your opponent’s decision to travel back in time from after their suspension ended should be disallowed going forward? It’s a hilarious blend of sports and storytelling that tests your creativity and sense of humor.
Icarus
Genre: Tragedy, World Building
Description: The city-state of Icarus stands at the height of its power, a shining beacon of progress above the world. But if there is one simple truth to this game, it’s the simple fact that Icarus will fall. Icarus is a game about the fall of a great civilization, played out across countless index cards and a tower of dice that grows as the people of Icarus construct a monument to the greatness of the city. But when the tower falls, Icarus falls with it.
Rotate Bird
Genre: Surreal, Genre Neutral
Description: Rotate Bird is a game that manages to be genre neutral through the simple method of being equally irrelevant to any genre. The game then becomes one of quick thinking and flimsy justification, determining how your deliberately poorly defined abilities apply to the situation at hand. Does the feather on your character sheet mean you can fly? Or does it perhaps mean that you're especially light on your feet? Maybe it just means that you have a deft hand with a feather duster. Ultimately, it means whatever is most convenient for you at the time, and can change at the drop of a hat.
Dread
Genre: Horror, Suspense, Psychological
Description: In this horror role-playing game, Dread uses a Jenga tower in place of dice to create a tense, suspense-filled atmosphere. Players must face terrifying situations and survive supernatural events, all while managing the ever-present danger of the Jenga tower collapsing. Each time you attempt a critical task, you pull a block from the tower—if it falls, your character’s fate is sealed. With a focus on psychological horror and building tension, Dread delivers an intense, thrilling experience.
