Join us for a creative and eco-friendly crafting session as we learn how to make plarn (plastic yarn) from old plastic shopping bags!
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll transform plastic bags into yarn and use it to kick off a crochet project. While crafting, we’ll enjoy the first hour of the beloved classic Charlotte’s Web, adding a fun and relaxing twist to your creative process. Whether you’re new to crochet or looking to learn something new, this program is perfect for beginners, and all tutorials will be easy to follow.
Materials to make the plarn will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own clean plastic shopping bags and crochet hooks if you have them. All skill levels are welcome! Drop by to discover a creative way to recycle, learn a new craft, and enjoy a timeless story! Registration is required. Recommended for ages 14 and up. If you have questions, please contact the Mobile Library at 301-456-4333 or email mobilelibrary@ccplonline.org.
Charles County Public Library events are accessible for all. If you have an accessibility request, please contact programs@ccplonline.org three business days prior to the event.
