Are you a teen who's interested in entrepreneurship?
Teens have fun and make new friends, while starting on the path to creating your very own business! We help young people discover their passions.
In this 4 week workshop teens will develop real-world skills while learning about the importance of entrepreneurship and how to be an entrepreneur.
Teens will learn how to:
-Identify possible products or services
-Estimate the probable importance of a product or service
-Estimate the consumer demand for the product or service
-Form a company as a teen
-Create a marketing campaign
Over the course of the workshop teens will come up with a company idea and work to develop that idea culminating in an exhibit to share their ideas with friends and family.
We will meet for 1 hour twice a week for 4 weeks. Weeks 1 and 2 will meet on Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00 pm and weeks 3 and 4 will meet on Monday and Thursday at 2:00pm.
This program series is presented by Dr. Troy Anthony Anderson from the University of Maryland Extension Southern Maryland Cluster.
Registration is required. Registration will be for all 8 sessions. Attendance at all 8 sessions is highly encouraged but not mandatory. Recommended for ages 13-18.
