Chances are, you've probably gotten a traffic ticket at some point in your life, and if you haven't, you likely will. Going to court to fight the ticket, or to request that the ticket doesn't permanently affect your driving record is a daunting task unless you're a professional like Kathryn Batey from Safe Harbor Criminal Defense who does this every day. In this program, Kathryn Batey will provide insight into how to prepare like a pro for traffic court from her extensive experience in representing individuals for traffic violations.

About the Presenter:
Kathryn Batey | Safe Harbor Criminal Defense
Kathryn Batey, the owner and firm practitioner, has spent the entirety of her legal career defending clients against the justice system. Kathryn graduated from American University's Washington College of law in 2012 and went to work immediately for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, where she was eventually promoted to Assistant Deputy Public Defender for Southern Maryland and the Supervising Attorney for the Charles County Maryland office. In 2023, she left the office to build Safe Harbor Criminal Defense. Kathryn is also barred in Virginia and previously practiced criminal defense in the Virginia General District Courts, Circuit Courts, and the Eastern District of Virginia. Currently, along with managing Safe Harbor Criminal Defense, she is an adjunct Legal Rhetoric and Writing professor at American University's Washington College of Law. Throughout her career Kathryn has handled every type of criminal case imaginable in front of both judges and juries and is an expert in navigating the legal system to get the best possible outcome for each case.
