Calling all artists! Join us for an afternoon of art history fun, learning all about different artists while learning new art skills and techniques!
We are now offering two sessions of Art Exploration on the second Wednesday and second Thursday of each month so that even more artists can join in the fun.
In January, we will learn about Alebrijes, the bright, colorful Mexican folk art indigenous to the Oaxaca region. Alebrijes are whimsical carvings and drawings of animals and imaginary creatures made with bright colors and intricate patterns. We will be creating alebrijes-inspired animal art with an assortment of materials, including clay, paints, paper, and more.
Please register each child who will be attending separately and only register for one session each month, as both Wednesday and Thursday will be the same sessions. Please email Laura Johnson at ljohnson@ccplonline.org with any questions.
Charles County Public Library events are accessible for all. If you have an accessibility request, please contact programs@ccplonline.org three business days prior to the event.
