Join us for an informal discussion of graphic novels, both modern and classic!

Join us for an informal discussion of graphic novels, both modern and classic! This month's selection is "Paper Girls, vol. 1 and 2" (available through Hoopla here and here).

It's November 1, 1988, just hours after Halloween has ended. Four teenage girls from a Cleveland suburb - Erin, MacKenzie, KJ and Tiffany - wake up and start their paper routes as they always do. But today is different. While on their route, the girls are attacked by another group of teens...who just happen to be time travelers from the future, at war with a group known only as The Old-Timers and the fate of time itself hangs in the balance! As the girls are dragged into the battle (and through time), they learn more about the conflict, the future and even themselves. Winning several top industry awards, including a Harvey Award for Best New Series and Eisner Awards for Best New Series and Best Penciler/Inker, Paper Girls by Brian K. Vaughn was a runaway hit, celebrating friendship, growing up and discovering who you really are.
