From KACAF:
This workshop will demonstrate what Korean Ink Painting is and how to do it. Korean Ink Painting is the art of margin. Like the pause to accentuate the rhythm of a song, marginal spaces in Korean painting have a critical role as much as the painted part. In the lesson, you will see how the harmony can be made between the blank space and painting part. Furthermore, they will show how to use the brush to make basic but magical brush strokes with ink and Korean paper. The black ink in Korean ink painting is not only black. The black color can be seen as kaleidoscopic and have very multiple effects depending on the brush stroke. It's a very delicate but simple and fascinating way to draw.
Also it’s about depicting your mind. Before carrying out your drawing, you must illustrate the image you want to draw in your mind. It's not only a notionary image but also the discovery of your emotion and concept toward the world. In the workshop you can have time to observe your response to the surroundings around you through visual painting.

Then she moved to London to pursue her art career in the graduate course of Chelsea College of Arts(UAL) and got a graduate diploma degree. In her recent practice, her works span from traditional ink painting techniques to contemporary media like videos and installations.
