It's all about Indigo! Join us in learning all about the wonderful world of natural dyes and get to try your hand at dying materials in our indigo vat.

Have you ever wondered how blue jeans got their rich blue hue? It's all about Indigo! Join us in learning all about the wonderful world of natural dyes and get to try your hand at dying materials in our indigo vat. Participants will get to create their own one of a kind bandanna provided by the library. Participants can also bring up to 3 pieces of 100% white cotton fabric, such as a shirt or mask to dye. This program will be held outside socially distanced in the park next to the Potomac Branch. 1 bandanna will be provided by the library for each registration.
