About the Presenter: Dr. Theresa A. Singleton is an archaeologist, writer and professor. Her scholarship, in which she is a leading expert, focuses on African American communities, especially communities of people who were enslaved in North America and the Caribbean. She is a former Smithsonian curator and is passionate about science and history communication to non-academic audiences.
