Come get a chance to learn from and ask questions to a professional archaeologist who's an academic leader in African American studies!

In this talk, Dr. Theresa Singleton will discuss her fascinating career as a foremost archaeologist and expert of African diaspora history. Following her talk, audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions.

About the Presenter: Dr. Theresa A. Singleton is an archaeologist, writer and professor. Her scholarship, in which she is a leading expert, focuses on African American communities, especially communities of people who were enslaved in North America and the Caribbean. She is a former Smithsonian curator and is passionate about science and history communication to non-academic audiences. She was the first African American woman to earn a doctorate in historical archaeology and is currently a professor at Syracuse University. 

This program will take place over Zoom. Registration is Required. 

Zoom meeting information will be shared to registrants via email one hour prior to the program starting from a @ccplonline.org email address.
