Learn about the art of marble paper making by exploring the history of the Japanese marble painting known as Suminagash.

Special inks that are lighter than water are added to a tub of water in a pattern then a piece of paper lightly touches the water and like magic picks up the color. We will then use the marbled paper to create ornaments, painting backgrounds, journal paper, origami figures, and more.

This program is part of our Clever Crafter series, designed for children and adults to enjoy crafting side by side. Work at your own pace, try out new techniques, and leave with a beautiful project you can continue to customize at home.

Registration is not required.
