Join us and the Southern Maryland Boot Scooters for an evening of dancing and fun! No experience required!

Please note: this is a Library After Hours event and takes place when the library is normally closed.
Doors will open for the public for the event at 6:45 PM.

The Southern Maryland Boot Scooters are coming through for a demonstration of line dancing, with opportunity for everybody to learn and participate, no experience necessary! The evening will include a variety of musical styles, meaning everyone should have something to their taste. Join us for a rocking good time!

About the Presenter:

The Southern Maryland Boot Scooters dance team was formed during the summer of 1995 by Bobby Phipps and hasn't stopped dancing since!

They are a group of friends who love to dance and have fun. They dance to all genres of music, not just country. If a song is popular, there is a good chance they know a dance for it!

They perform at community events and venues such as festivals, county fairs, and long-term care facilities. They also perform at charity fundraisers and often are available to perform at private parties and company functions. The Southern Maryland Boot Scooters is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

While they are not professionals (nor do they strive to be), the team did appear several times on TNN's Club Dance (a television show that aired throughout the 1990s). They also have produced instructional videos of dances choreographed by our team members.

The Southern Maryland Boot Scooters is open to anyone interested in dancing. No audition or previous dance experience is required, and there is no fee to join.

This is a drop-in event, no registration required.
